Bruce Cherry Takes On New Role As Chairman for the Seminole County Republicans
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 27, 2023 / Seminole County, FL
Grassroots For America, the non-profit patriot watchdog group of Seminole County Florida, recently celebrated a momentous victory on December 1st, 2022 with the election of Bruce Cherry as Chairman of the Seminole County Republicans. This win makes Seminole the first county in the state to be seized by Patriots, as well as the first Florida Republican majority in support of President Trump’s 2024 campaign.
Bruce Cherry hails from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and has called Florida home since 1990. His political activism began in 2005 while working for a conservative radio station in Gainesville, Florida. During his 40 years as a broadcast professional, he witnessed the many deficiencies in local and national politics, and educated himself on conservative Republican values. As an African American Conservative Republican, he has become adept in educating others on his political views, and has always trusted in God to be his guidepost.
Mr. Cherry has never been a career politician, so he was initially unsure about taking on this responsibility. He felt that his chances of obtaining a leadership role in Seminole County’s Republican Executive Committee (SCREC) were slim; however, members of Grassroots For America convinced him that he was the right person for the job. Ultimately, Bruce Cherry’s faith and conviction in political stewardship helped him take his first steps toward getting the Republican party back on track. In a 2023 interview, Cherry recalled the moment he decided to sign on for this leadership role, and said to himself, “The only way I’m going to win this, is if God wills it.”
This election has become a shock to the political class, and a beacon for patriot-led groups across the country. Under Chairman Cherry's leadership, the Seminole County GOP will work to regain integrity and build a stronger SCREC. Grassroots For America stands with him and supports his efforts.
“Our party is in trouble. We need to be good stewards of what God has given us. We have a lot of work to do at SCREC, but we’re working to get qualified, conservative Republicans elected to office, so we can take our country back.”

About Grassroots For America

Grassroots For America (GFA) was founded by Dr. Robin Siebold in 2016 following the election of President Trump. During this time, Dr. Siebold observed that the Seminole County Republican Executive Committee member majority were “Never-Trumpers” who refused to follow rules and discouraged, or outright bullied, America First conservatives. Before GFA took the lead to clean up politics at a local level, SCREC had fewer than 100 members. To date, the non-profit has helped to nearly triple Executive Committee membership, and GFA volunteers have worked tirelessly to support America First candidates, bolster Seminole County conservative Republicans, and campaign for the reelection of Governor DeSantis. In addition to organizing guest speakers and special events for patriots, the non-profit offers training in becoming a government watchdog, recruiting candidates, understanding local and federal legislation, conducting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and organizing voter registration. Ongoing classes in The Constitution and Robert’s Rules of Order and The Standard Code of Parliamentary Procedure are offered monthly. GFA’s current initiatives include election integrity, broadening the Republican base, designing a program to teach non-biased history in local and national school systems, eliminating critical race theory (CRT) and equity training, and partnering with constitutional sheriffs.
Patriots can best support Grassroots For America by learning about volunteer opportunities, signing up for the newsletter, or making a one-time, monthly, or annual donation.
